Why 12 Volt Lighting?

Lighting designers choose to specify NightscapingŪ low voltage lighting for several reasons.  Cost saving installations and the large array of 12-volt lamp sources are big influences.

Flexibility and the portability or non-permanence of stake-mounted fixtures allows equipment to be relocated as plantings change and mature.

Many prospective clients ask for it.  They are sophisticated and 'know it when they see it.'  They can plainly convey their desires and needs to the lighting designer for the controlled under-stated subtly that low-voltage lighting provides.

The great American architect Frank Lloyd Wright referred to light as 'the beautifier'.  Light enhances.  Its purpose is to compliment, not compete with the architecture.

NightscapingŪ offers the design tools to accomplish what the evening has to offer; light for safety, security, traverse and aesthetics.  It enhances and does not compete.

Contractor of the Week Bob Johnson

A NightscapingŪ contractor for 12 years, Bob Johnson understands his prospective client's needs. After asking them what their lighting ideas are, or what it is they have in mind, a common reply is, "You're the expert, that's why we called you."  He knows the most important part of his lighting design is to develop a lighting plan that fits client needs and lifestyle.

Bob is quick to point out, "Everyone needs light, but they need it for different reasons...safety, security or lighting for entertaining are the most common." Another common request in Florida is for dock lighting.  Bob's
dock work is displayed in images above and below.

We are pleased to introduce Bob Johnson and show his lighting expertise.

One of Florida's top lighting contractors, he is a true reflection of NightscapingŪ lighting professionals world-wide.
