H30 Electrical Characteristics |
|
• |
Reduces 120V to 11V - 14V 60 cycles A.C. Multi-tap secondary winding. |
• |
Grounded and shielded (ground shield between primary and secondary). 2490V Dielectric. |
• |
Amper-proof fustat(s) on 12V side. |
• |
Multi-tap primary winding. |
H30 Sizing |
|
• |
Add up A.C. watts consumed by all lamps on circuit (refer to lamp chart). The Powercenter™ circuit capacity must be equal to or greater than total lamp wattage. Refer to Powercenter™ label for total wattage capacity of the unit. |
H30 Electrical Characteristics |
|
• |
Mount Powercenters™ a minimum of 12" above ground. |
• |
Ideally, Powercenters™ should be placed in the center of the installation. |
H30 Placement with Photocell |
|
• |
The photocell must always see the sky. Do not hide in plant materials. Lights from fixtures must not shine on photocell. When timer and photocell modules are combined the photocell can be used to turn the system on and the timer set to turn the system off. |
H30 Options |
|
• |
Refer to control module sheet. |
• |
Powercenters™ may be ordered in your choice of optional powder-coat finishes for a slight upcharge. Contact factory for a quote. |
| H30 Design Criteria |
Take special care to maintain lighting systems powered by H30 multi-voltage output Powercenters™. The H30 system can deliver in excess of 12 volts. However, it is important to design the system so that the voltage at any low voltage lamp does not exceed 12 volts. No more than 10% of the lamps on a single run should remain inoperable at any given time. If burned out lamps are left unattended, additional lamp failure is inevitable. Detailed notations should be made on design plans to mark the different voltage runs in case future modifications or additions are needed. This will help prevent employing high voltage output when it is not necessary. |
